Here is some information that will interest you.
Residential State Rebate (CEC) = $2.60 per watt at this time.
Residential Federal Tax Credit = 30% of system cost with a max of $2000.
Business Federal Tax Credit = 30% of net system cost after rebate with NO LIMIT.
Net cost = the total system price minus the Residential State Rebate (CEC).
You will get a 30% Federal Tax Credit on the portion of your home you use as business. This is big.

This how the Business and Residential Rebates and Credits work together.
Facts for this scenario: $30,000, 3Kwh system. 33% Business usage.
State CEC Rebate is 3000 X $2.60 = $7,800.
$30,000 - $7,800 = $22,200 Net System Cost.
Business portion = 33% of $22,200 = $7326
Business Federal Tax Credit = 30% of $7326 = $2198.
Final system cost $30,000 - $7,800 (CEC Rebate) - $2000 (Residential Tax Credit) - $2198 (Federal
Business Tax Credit) = $18,002
That’s about a 40% discount with all credits and rebates.

To top that off if you take out a Home secured loan you get to write the interest off.
To make it even better the government is allowing 50% system deprecation of the portion used as business the first year and MACRS 5 year Accelerated Deprecation (using IRS federal form 4562) for the next 5 years. You can’t beat that.
